Our Ollas are lovingly handcrafted in Portugal by skilled artisans, Ana and Vitor, in their workshop in the Leiria region, renowned for its ceramic craftsmanship passed down through generations. Each olla is a one-of-a-kind creation, with unique textures and surfaces that make it truly special.

An ancient watering method, perfected over centuries

Ollas use an age-old technique dating back to antiquity: the natural porosity of the ceramic allows water to slowly seep out, directly nourishing the roots. This method works in harmony with the natural rhythm of plants, giving them just the right amount of water, exactly when they need it.

How do I use my Olla?

Simply plant the Olla in the pot near your plant, making sure to leave the top exposed. Fill it with water and you're all set! Just watch your plants grow.

How often should I refill?

Typically once a week is sufficient, but this may vary depending on weather conditions, season, and the type of plant.

Is it suitable for all plants?

Yes, Ollas are suitable for all green plants, both indoors and outdoors. They are ideal for plants that require consistently moist soil. Just remember to bring them indoors when it freezes.

Can I overwater my plants?

No, the Olla provides water in a measured way, avoiding the risk of overwatering and promoting optimal plant health. The soil only absorbs water when it's dry.

Can I use it when travelling?

The Olla is an ideal solution to keep your plants hydrated while you are away. Fill it with water before you leave, and it will take care of your plants until you return. For longer trips, water the surface too and fill the Olla — it will take over once the surface water is absorbed.

What sizes are available?

We offer Ollas in various sizes. The standard Olla fits most pots. For pots less than 15 cm in diameter, we recommend our Mini Ollas, available as a trio.

How do I maintain my Olla?

Simply wash the Olla with clean water occasionally to remove any mineral deposits. That's it!
